Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) has delivered a message comparing the economic growth being recorded in Ethiopia with the waste of wealth that existed before the change. He also cited Ethiopia's recent success in gold export trade as an example. Prime Minister Abiy, who stated that he was able to export gold worth 5.6 billion dollars in the past year alone, emphasized that this figure is higher than the 3.6 billion dollars exported in the 27 years before the change. He reinforced his view that this fact shows that new gold has not been discovered, but that the wealth has already been looted by individuals. Recalling that in the past, instead of using our country's resources for national development, individuals were allowed to build their own houses, but now this wealth is being used for the benefit of the people, the Prime Minister explained in an interview with OBN. He explained that the enemies of peace find it difficult to accept this truth and have an unchangeable mindset, so they are trying to plunge our country into chaos. He mentioned that the achievements recorded in diplomacy, agriculture and Addis Ababa city development in the past few years of change are more than what was done in the past 27 years. He indicated that the people of Tigray have also understood the reality and are engaging in a new mindset and active participation, different from yesterday.
